Rapper Rick Ross credits CrossFit workouts and a portion-controlled diet for his 100-pound weight loss, which he displayed on Instagram. "I do this sh*t called CrossFit," said Ross. "I call it 'RossFit.'"
Rick, a former couch potato, said he actually enjoys his CrossFit training even though it's hard. "It's a different type of workout," he said. "I feel good."
Ross, 38, has been doing CrossFit to get than a year, and has totally transformed his body, as his incredible before and after photo shows.
"We had started doing it last year," Rick told 93.9 WKYS FM in June 2014. "The most I oftentimes tried to do for exercise was resist to count the money, you know what I'm saying?"
While low carb diets such like Paleo, Atkins and ketogenic plans are all the rage among celebrities these days, Rick didn't make drastic changes to his diet, but said he eats less junk food and more fruit.
Ross said he stills eats the way he used to, but in smaller portions, and he makes exercise a high priority. "I eat pears now and s**t like that," he explained. "I still eat the way I to help eat. I just go to the work out center."
Rick decided for taking control of his health after suffering two seizures in a day back in the year 2011. The seizures, which occurred on two separate flights, left him unconscious, and CPR was critical revive him.
Rick doesn't possess a specific weight loss goal, but is proud of his progress. 'It only agreed to be time for me to tighten up a little bit,' he said. 'I have no destination, no specific weight [goal].'
Ross isn't discharge celebrity who has lost a dramatic amount of weight doing CrossFit workouts. Country superstar Tim McGraw credited the associated with CrossFit and the Paleo diet for his incredible 40-pound weight loss.
